For me as a photographer the human being symbolizes a heart. I edit reality like a show where all the actors have a decisive meaning, however it is me who must choose the decisive moment. Looking through the lens of the camera gives me the opportunity to concentrate on certain parts of reality. This helps to open closed doors thus making the moment clearer.

Just after the fall of the Berlin Wall I traveled with a friend hitchhiking from Poland to the South of France. My love of traveling and the sense of freedom it has always played a role in my photography. However I have not always had to move over large distances to travel. A good example was my graduation project from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (The Hague), undertaken in 2008 - "A Journey Through the Weimar Street".

This website can be used to preview my work made over the last few years. I am a working freelance photographer specializing in reportage and portraits on location. I use a digital camera, with the aid of photoshop for very minor corrections. I have also developed a growing interest in image and sound over recent years experimenting with this medium wherever possible.
